Poor Stewardship: Viking Museum Flooded

You would think more could have been done to prevent this. In Britain the "Jorvik Viking Center" in  York was flooded - not surprisingly, it is sited in a basement. That is no place to keep valuable artifacts, what were the archeologists thinking?
